President’s
Message …
As
the New Year begins, I wanted to remind you all
about some interesting facts that makes what
we do so important:
-
Women live 5-7 years longer than
men.
- On
average, women earn 74% of their male
counterparts.
-
Women often have to opt out of
contribution pension plans and deferred savings
plans because they need the current income
more.
-
Women have, on average, smaller pension and
Social Security benefits due to career
interruptions for child rearing and elder parent
care.
Obviously,
not every woman is going to hire another woman
to help with her legal and/or financial needs.
But, those that do need to know that, as members
of the WEPC, we understand their unique needs.
This
year, I invite you to be an active participant
in WEPC. Attend the meetings, learn new things,
give back to the community. Why not become a
better estate planning professional for your
clients and enrich your life also.
